Date: 1st February, 2010
The Cambridge University IGCSE examinations are a world recognised
standard, sat by students from the leading international schools
on a global scale.
Traill students gained 1st place in Thailand for Physics, 1st
place for Biology and 2nd place in Thailand for five subjects
combined – beating very stiff competition from other much larger
International Schools. On Monday 1st February, 2010, Kamolphat
Atsawawaranunt (A) and Suraj Kishnani (Spy) were awarded their
certificates by the British Ambassador, His Excellency Quinton
Quayle, at an honorary function at the British Embassy.
Both students are excellent all-round students and were great
representatives of the school. They were invited with their parents
to join with other top students from other leading international
schools in Thailand, for a once in a life time memorable experience.
There was an informal gathering prior to this with fruit juices
and canapés. The award ceremony, attended by about 100 people,
was held in the beautiful garden of the Ambassador’s Residence,
with performances by school orchestras and musical solos. There
were photo opportunities in the garden and the British Ambassador
was very kind to allow for pictures to be taken with him for all
the students.
